PCB prototyping is the stage at which a design becomes a physical device for the first time. A professionally made prototype lets you verify design assumptions in real conditions, catch errors before they reach the series, optimize the design for manufacturing (DFM), carry out tests and certification, and present the product to investors. Errors found at the prototype stage cost a fraction of those that surface in the series.
That is why we treat every prototype like a series order — with full AOI inspection, IPC-A-610 · IPC 7711/7721 visual control and documentation of every unit. We complete PCB prototypes from 1 piece: SMT, THT and mixed SMT+THT assembly on the same line. We serve both startups launching the first version of a device and experienced R&D departments testing the next iterations of a design.
What is included in a prototype order?
BOM validation
Before assembly starts we verify the BOM for component availability, design compliance and potential substitutes. We flag discrepancies in advance — not when the line is already stopped.
DFM report
Design for Manufacturability analysis: we check the design for production capability, pad spacing, component orientation and assembly risks. The DFM report contains detailed comments, not a general assessment.
Trial SMT and THT assembly
Assembling the first version according to the documentation: solder paste, pick&place, reflow, THT assembly where required. We handle 0201, BGA, QFN and other fine-pitch components.
AOI inspection
Every prototype passes AOI inspection — not just visual control. Inspection results are documented and attached to the order report.
Engineering support
Our engineer is available throughout the prototype order. Questions about the design, BOM comments, optimization suggestions — without switching between departments.
Documentation
Every prototype unit is described with a unique ID. Production documentation is stored for up to 10 years — whether or not the project goes into series.
Small series PCBs — when does a prototype become a product?
Small-batch electronics production is the stage between a prototype and a full series. We complete series from 1 to several hundred units for clients who:
- launch pilot sales before scaling production,
- produce devices to order for B2B customers (dedicated series),
- test a new product variant without engaging a full series line,
- work in the medical or industrial segment, where volumes are naturally low.
Every small series is produced with full documentation, AOI inspection and control as per IPC-A-610 · IPC 7711/7721. Production against the golden sample — quality sign-off before delivery.

We do not mix prototype orders with series production. A dedicated prototype line means a more flexible schedule and direct contact with the engineer responsible for your project.
