Laser marking of PCBs and housings — durable markings without material contact
Laser marking of PCBs and electronics housings: serial numbers, QR and DataMatrix codes, logos, CE and RoHS conformity markings. A non-contact method — no mechanical pressure, no risk to components around the mark. Durability independent of the device's operating conditions.

Laser marking is a method of permanently marking surfaces with a laser beam — no paint, no stickers, no mechanical contact with the material. The laser removes or discolours a microscopic surface layer, creating a marking resistant to abrasion, solvents and variable environmental conditions.
In electronics, laser marking is used at two levels: on the PCB itself (batch number, production date, design revision) and on the finished device housing (serial number, QR code for service, client logo, certification markings).
Unlike ink marking or stickers, a laser will not peel off, will not wear away and does not require drying time in the production process.

Serial numbers and batch identifiers
A unique serial number on every device or a batch number on the PCB — the basis of full production traceability. Sequential numbering or as per the client's scheme.
QR and DataMatrix codes
QR codes leading to service documentation, product cards or warranty registration systems. DataMatrix codes for machine-readable production tracking systems.
Logos and graphic markings
Client logo, model markings, visual identity elements on the housing or front panel of the device.
Conformity and certification markings
CE, RoHS, WEEE and other required conformity markings — durable and compliant with legal requirements for legibility throughout the operating life.
Marking at the PCB stage and at the housing stage
Laser marking available as a step in the PCB assembly process (batch number on the laminate) and as an element of CNC housing machining (serial number, logo on the finished product).
When is laser marking the best choice?
Full production traceability requirement
When every batch or unit must be unambiguously identifiable throughout its life cycle — laser marking provides a marking that will not disappear, peel off or require reapplication.
Devices operated in harsh conditions
Moisture, vibration, temperature variation — conditions in which stickers and prints lose legibility. A laser mark remains durable regardless of the device's working environment.
Products requiring certification markings
CE, RoHS and other legal markings require durability for the entire declared period of use — laser marking meets this requirement without additional maintenance.
Large series with individual numbering
Laser marking automation allows a unique number for every unit without extending production time — the numbering sequence is generated automatically.
What sets us apart in laser marking?
Marking at two levels — PCB and housing
The ability to mark both the board itself and the final housing — one supplier for the whole product identification process.
Integration with full batch traceability
The number assigned during laser marking connects to the Siltegro traceability system — every batch from component to shipment has its unique identifier.
Marking as part of CNC machining
The same machine park that mills housings and produces front panels also performs laser marking — no additional supplier or inter-operational logistics.
