Final electronics assembly, also known as box build or product assembly, is a service that complements PCBA production to the level of a finished device. The client does not receive a batch of boards — they receive a finished product, packaged and ready for the market or further distribution.
At Siltegro we carry out final assembly as an integral part of the EMS process. This means the same order passes through the SMT/THT assembly line, final assembly and quality control under one roof — without changing suppliers, without communication risk, without delays caused by logistics between companies.
What is included in final assembly?
Mechanical assembly
Placing the PCBA in the enclosure — plastic, aluminium or other supplied by the client. Fastening with screws, snaps or a method as per the technical documentation. Mounting heat sinks, front panels and mechanical parts.
Wiring installation
Connecting internal wires, cable harnesses, connectors and FFC/FPC ribbons as per the electrical schematic. Correctness of connections verified before the enclosure is closed.
Front panels and overlays
Application of front panel overlays, technical labels and markings as per the documentation. Custom front panels can be produced within our CNC machining service.
Programming and functional tests
Flashing firmware into microcontrollers and memory as part of final assembly — without engaging a separate supplier. Functional tests of the finished device as per the client's specification: power, communication, interface and main function tests. A dedicated ICT test station can be implemented.
Packaging
Packaging of finished devices as per the client's, distributor's or transport requirements: bubble wrap, ESD foam, master cartons, logistics labels. Unit packaging with instructions, warranty cards and accessories possible.
Documentation and labelling
Every device is marked with a unique serial number or QR code. Service documentation and quality certificates attached on request. Full traceability of the finished product.
