Design services — PCB design and R&D
R&D support from concept to ready documentation. PCB design, electronic device design, DFM and DFA analysis, BOM optimization, firmware programming on order. We implement your project into the production process without friction or rework.

The biggest losses in an electronic project occur at the boundary between design and production. A design created without knowledge of the production line's capabilities is returned to the engineer with a list of comments — costing time and money. A project that passes through the hands of an engineer with production experience before the first prototype has these problems eliminated from the start.
At Siltegro, design services are run by the same team that runs production. The engineer designing or analyzing your PCB knows the constraints of the SMT line, how specific solder pastes behave, and which footprint errors a netlist verifier will not catch. This is the knowledge that no CAD tool has.
What do Siltegro's design services cover?
Custom PCB design
PCB design from schematic to ready gerbers. Single-sided, double-sided and multilayer projects. Production-oriented optimization: footprints as per IPC standards, proper component spacing, laminate material selection for the application's requirements.
Electronic device design
System-level electronics design: architecture selection, schematic design, key component selection, PCB design, technical documentation. We handle projects from scratch or develop clients' existing products.
DFM analysis (Design for Manufacturability)
Verification of an existing design against the SMT and THT line's production capability. The DFM report contains detailed comments: problem components, too small clearances, non-recommended footprints, potential soldering defects. A free DFM report with the first prototype order.
DFA analysis (Design for Assembly)
Design verification for final assembly and device building: availability of mounting points, assembly order, connection ergonomics. Especially important for devices with complex final assembly.
BOM optimization
Review of the component list for availability, pricing and substitutes. We propose alternatives for hard-to-find or EOL (End of Life) components. We update the BOM to a production-ready version.
Custom firmware programming
Writing and debugging firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems: AVR, ARM, STM32, ESP and others. Implementation of communication protocols: Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. User interface (HMI) design for displays. Programming as an independent service or part of a complete device implementation.
Production documentation preparation
Compiling the documentation required to launch production: gerbers, BOM, pick&place, test specifications, assembly drawings. Documentation in a format ready to be handed over to the line.
How does cooperation look on the path from design to production?
Design services and EMS production can form one continuous process:
Initial consultation
We discuss project requirements, technical specification, schedule and budget.
Design or DFM analysis
We create a design or analyze the existing one.
Prototype
We run the first assembly on the prototype line; the design engineer is available during the prototyping stage.
Iteration
Design corrections based on prototype results; another prototype if needed.
Series implementation
A DFM-approved design enters the series line without rework.
A client who starts with design services at Siltegro receives production documentation matched to our line — the transition to series is smooth and without surprises.
Who are the design services for?
Startups without their own electronics department
If you have an idea for a device but no engineering team — we implement the project from schematic to a ready prototype. One supplier for the whole process: design, prototype, production.
Companies with a design ready for audit
Do you have a CAD design but are not sure it is production-ready? A DFM report will point out problems before launch, not after.
R&D with a design requiring optimization
Does the design work but the BOM is expensive or contains hard-to-find components? BOM optimization brings measurable savings without changing device functionality.
Companies planning to transfer production
Moving production from a current supplier? We will review the documentation and adapt it to our line — so the first series starts without downtime.
What sets us apart in design services?
Engineers with production experience
We analyze projects through the lens of the assembly line, not just electronics design principles. A different perspective than a typical design office without its own production.
Free DFM report with the first order
With the first prototype order we offer a free DFM report. This is how we start every cooperation — with specific comments, not a general assessment.
Documentation ready for production
We do not hand over a design that needs to be "translated" into production data. Documentation is handed over in a form ready to start the line.
One supplier for design and production
A company that designed the device understands it better than anyone else. When the project goes into production, there is no need to explain the designer's intent — because it is the same engineer.
Intellectual property stays with the client
After project completion and settlement, full property rights and source documentation are transferred to the client. We base cooperation on clear agreements — we sign an NDA before the quotation stage if the client requires it. Your idea is safe.
